I'm a wife and mother to two young children. I've always had a passion for fitness and being active every day. Even more so now that I'm a mum, as it fuels me with energy to keep up with them and be a 'boss mum' all at the same time.

My Mission

At The Movement Muma, my mission is to inspire and support women to live their healthiest, happiest lives. I aim to foster a community where women feel strong, confident, and connected, embracing wellness in every aspect of their lives.

My Story

My journey began when I was on maternity leave and felt lost, not knowing what to do each day. I wanted to get out and about, but I felt unsure of what I wanted to do, how I wanted to move my body, and the people I wanted to spend quality time with.

This is the time in my life when I discovered the transformative power of movement and mindfulness. Experiencing firsthand how these practices significantly improved my well-being, I became passionate about sharing these benefits with other women. This passion led to the creation of The Movement Muma, a space where women can find the support and resources they need to thrive.

Expertise

I've been in the fitness industry for over 10 years, teaching yoga for 6 years, and a mother for about 3 years.

Over the years, I've learned so much which has allowed me to bring a wealth of knowledge and a deep understanding of the unique needs of women and mothers. My approach integrates evidence-based practices with a holistic perspective on health and wellness.

FAQ's

Is this suitable for beginners?

Yes, I have a wide range of categories suited for all skill levels, ranging from beginner to advanced.

Can I cancel my membership at any time?

Yes, you can cancel your membership at any time. Simply log in, then head to your 'Account' and follow the prompts.

How many weeks postpartum should I be?

This platform is designed for mothers who are at least 12 weeks postpartum and have a familiarity with exercises such as squats, lunges, and chest lifts. That being said this is still very much suitable for beginners.  


Please note that I am not a women's health physiotherapist or medical professional. It's highly recommended that you consult with one or both of these professionals to ensure you are ready to safely begin exercising.

What's in it for me?

You will get a large variety of workouts, yoga classes and mediations available to follow and repeat as many times as you wish. 

My goal is for you to let go of the need for a perfect workout and aim for a fun & memorable one instead.

You'll join other mums worldwide for our weekly live session (Wednesdays) and ask any questions you might have in the members only facebook group. 

Do I need any fitness equipment?

Most of our videos are bodyweight workouts, so all you'll need are the basics: a yoga mat & water bottle.

If you're interested in strength training, you'll ideally need a few sets of dumbbells between I recommend hex-shaped dumbbells for their stability and ease of use.

What style of classes do you offer?

YOGA
A slow yoga flow, much like a Hatha yoga class. 

PILATES

Traditional mat Pilates exercises with a fun fusion of unique exercises that will leave your body feeling fit & toned.

STRENGTH

Dumbbells are used in most of these sessions so I highly recommend getting yourself a few sets of dumbbells. 

What dumbbells do I need for the 'Strength'?

BEGINNER = 1kg, 2kg and 3kg 

INTERMEDIATE = 2kg, 3kg and 4kg

ADVANCED = 2kg, 4kg and 5+kg

A set of (two of each) dumbbells, ranging from 1-5 kg would be a great start. The stronger you get the more likely you will need heavier weights. 

Do you offer live classes?

Most of the classes are pre-recorded, however I do offer a weekly live class on Wednesdays. Times do vary but it is typically held mid morning/midday. 

Once you've joined you be able to access the members only facebook page. 

Will I meet other Mums?

Yes, if you join the members only facebook group you'll be able to join our Muma community. 

Upon joining the facebook group you can share who you are, where you're from, and how many little ones you have (if you wish to that is). But there is no pressure to do so. 

Can I access the platform on multiple devices?

Yes, I have an app that you can download for FREE.
